Colts News · awards Crawford High School over $20,000 in athletic gear

On Friday, September 23, 2016 Crawford Students entered the gym with eager faces and excitement as they were greeted by Jesse Lozano from Star 94.1 FM and FOX 5 San Diego News.

The PEP RALLY was presented by One More Win, a charity that awards NEW ATHLETIC EQUIPMENT to high schools around San Diego. A compelling essay written by Crawford’s Athletic Director, Kelcie Butcher captured the organization’s attention which resulted in over $20,000 DOLLARS worthof athletic equipment.

Huge smiles were plastered over the faces of Crawford’s Athletes as they were presented with the donations from  Donations included: Volleyball gear, New NIKE Track uniforms, a ten lane timer for Cross Country, A Learning Cart full of tennis balls for the Tennis Team.

The most amazing donation of all, were all new football pads and girdles for the football team.  The team last had new football pads in 2001.  The boys were ecstatic when they were awarded their new gear just hours before their game night. A sense of gratitude emerged within the Colt Community as they got one step closer to their CIF dreams.
